UPDATE 7:38 a.m.– The road has been reopened per the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Great Mills, MD- At 6:47 a.m., a 9-1-1 call went out for an accident involving a pedestrian. The incident occurred on Point Lookout Road in the area of Adkins Road and Bay Ridge Road. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office says the road is currently closed in all directions.

Watch for emergency vehicles and expect delays.
