UPDATE 4:42 p.m.- Crain Highway at Plaza Drive has been re-opened per CCSO. The Southern Maryland Chronicle will bring you more information if and when it is released.

Expect residual delays.


UPDATE 2:05 p.m.- Units on the scene report the crash has involved four vehicles, with seven patients. Two of those patients are requiring MEDVAC. Maryland State Police Helo Trooper 2 is en route to the landing zone.

Expect additional delays when the landing zone is established.


Waldorf, MD- At 1:45 p.m. a 9-1-1 dispatch was sent for a multi-vehicle crash on Crain Highway at Plaza Drive. The road is currently closed(Northbound and Southbound) per Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

Units are on the scene and it is reported that multiple victims are to be flown out via MEDEVAC.

Use caution in the area, expect delays and watch for emergency vehicles.
