Nanjemoy, MD- On January 3, 2019 the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department was alerted to a fire at a one story single dwelling home on Port TObacco Road.

Prior to the arrival of emergency crews,the fire had been extinguished by the occupant. THe State Fire Marshal was called into to investigate.

THe incident currently remains under investigation, but has been listed as a fire on the front porch. The estimated structure loss is listed as $5,000.00. No further details are available at this time.
