On December 24, 2018 Deputy Freeland responded to Circle Court, St. Leonard for the report of a burglary in progress. The complainant advised his house alarm was set off and he observed a male staring through his window, banging on the window, saying “let me in”. The male broke the back door handle trying to get in the house. Deputy Freeland checked neighboring houses and made contact with Akili Isilwi Makins (21), who matched the description of the suspect. Makins was wearing muddy boots that matched a footprint left on the deck where the door handle was broken off. Makins was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Third Degree Burglary and Malicious Destruction of Property < $1,000.
On December 28, 2018 Dfc. Y. Bortchevsky responded to 30th Street, Chesapeake Beach for a domestic disturbance. The complainant advised John Joseph Requilman (43) was banging on her front door in an apparent attempt to break in the house, which caused approximately $500 worth of damage. Requilman was not at the residence when Deputy Bortchevsky arrived, however, he was located at a nearby address where he was asleep and highly intoxicated. Requilman was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Third Degree Burglary, Malicious Destruction of Property < $1,000 and Disorderly Conduct.
On December 28, 2018 Deputy Parks responded to Bradford Lane, Prince Frederick for the report of a domestic dispute. Jose Arias Jr. (52) advised he had a firearm and it accidentally went off during the altercation. The firearm was located on the golf cart seat in the garage. Arias Jr. was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with Reckless Endangerment.
