St. Mary’s Helping Hands Food Pantry via Facebook

Our most generous friends… We need your help. Today(Friday) at Helping Hands Food Pantry, we had 13 clients come in for food in the first 45 minutes. We are seeing people we have never seen before that are finding themselves needing help because they are furloughed Federal workers. The food stamp program is said to be ending January 31 which will put an even further strain on our resources. And we don’t even really know what this shut down will do to our upcoming Govt. food deliveries.

If you are still receiving a paycheck and your household is not financially impacted by the shutdown, won’t you please consider grabbing a few extra bags of groceries and dropping them by to us M-W-F 10-1 or if you need a special pickup, we can arrange for that as well. Please help us continue to provide food to expectantly the largest number of folks we have ever serviced.

Please share this post and ask your friends to share it as well. The need is more real than ever. Thank you<3
