St. Leonard, MD- On Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 10:12 p.m., the owners of a two-story single family home on Holly Circle called 9-1-1 for a fire in the garage area of their home.
The St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department arrived with twenty-four personnel and had the fire under control in fifteen minutes.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause. The Fire Marshal’s preliminary report indicates an accidental electrical fire that started in a wall unit near the garage.

The Fire Marshal lists the loss at $250,000(structure) and $50,000(contents). The Family was displaced as a result and is being assisted by family and friends. The Fire Marshal also notes that a family cat also perished in the fire.
