Shortly before 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2019, Cobb Island Volunteers along with Bel Alton Rescue Squad #10 and Newburg Rescue Engine responded to 12000 blk Swann Point Road in the area of the cemetery. Units arrived to find a late model vehicle on it’s side with one occupant driver trapped within.

Cobb Island Volunteers with assistance of Bel Alton and Newburg went to work extricating the elderly female from the car and was transported to a local hospital by Paramedic Ambulance 68.

A special thanks goes to the drivers “Onstar Service Device” where the elderly driver was able to alert and get 911 help to her.
