The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners recognized Hagner R. Mister for his volunteer service on the Calvert County Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board since January 2009.

Mister is a local farmer and longtime advocate for the farming community. During his time on the board, he attended special meetings, forums and public hearings. Mister has also served as Maryland secretary of agriculture, as a member of the Calvert County Board of Education and served two terms as a Calvert County commissioner.
