The event is one of the school system’s longstanding community partnerships through donations and volunteer judges.

The Calvert County History Day program is affiliated with Maryland History Day and National History Day. Winners at the local level will advance to state competition.

National History Day is a highly regarded academic program for secondary students. Students choose historical topics related to a theme and conduct extensive primary and secondary research through libraries, archives, museums, oral history interviews and historic sites. After analyzing and interpreting their sources and drawing conclusions about their topics’ significance in history, students present their work in original papers, websites, exhibits, performances and documentaries.

The address of Calvert High School is 520 Fox Run Boulevard, Prince Frederick, Maryland 20678.
