Meet Jessica Gebhardt, graphic design specialist for the Department of Communications and Media Relations.
Jessica has worked for Calvert County Government for five years and has been in her current position for two. As the graphic design specialist, she designs print and digital collateral materials to support the needs of the county. Two of her recent projects include the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter logo and the redesigned Calvert County Parks & Recreation program guide. Jessica’s ultimate goal is to develop more consistent branding across all channels and to refresh older publications with an updated look and feel.
“I love my job,” she said. “There’s a real sense of achievement when I get to see my designs out in the community and know that I’m helping to provide the public with information. I work with such a creative team and I really enjoy having a group of co-workers to bounce ideas off of. Every day is different and I’m always learning.”
Jessica attended the Savannah College of Art and Design where she received a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Prior to working in CMR, she worked for Calvert County Parks and Recreation for three years where she created a logo, staff uniform graphics and various other printed materials for the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center.
In her free time, as a recent newlywed, Jessica likes to spend time with her husband and two dogs, Parker and Lola.
