News Release, Powerball

The Powerball® jackpot has rolled to an estimated $414 million for the Saturday, March 9 drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing. The cash option is an estimated $247.9 million.

Saturday’s estimated jackpot currently ranks as the 16th largest Powerball jackpot in game history.

This is the first time the advertised Powerball jackpot has been above $400 million since October 2018. During that jackpot run last fall, the jackpot climbed to $687.8 million and was won by two tickets in Iowa and New York in the October 27 drawing.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on Dec. 26, 2018 by a single ticket in New York.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday, March 6 drawing were white balls 6, 10, 21, 35, 46, plus Powerball 23, and Power Play multiplier 2X.

While there were no jackpot winners, three tickets matched all five white balls. Two of those tickets, sold in Nebraska and Texas, won a $1 million prize. The other ticket, sold in Puerto Rico, doubled the prize to $2 million by including the Power Play® option for an additional $1.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
