Prince Frederick, MD – Calvert Hospice is pleased to provide educational seminars to our community. Attendees will learn about topics that impact end-of-life care for patients and their families. Sessions are designed to encourage group discussion. Calvert Hospice will provide refreshments. The seminars are free.

The location for this educational seminar will be SpringHill Suites (75 Sherry Lane) in Prince Frederick.

Gone But Never Forgotten: An Overdose Loss Seminar

Presenter: Tessa Washington, MFT, LGPC, Bereavement Coordinator for Calvert Hospice
Ms. Washington will talk about grieving an overdose loss and how to overcome the stigma related to this particular type of loss. Topics will include different kinds of grief associated with substance abuse and overdose loss, the stigma that surrounds this type of loss, self-care while grieving, and ways to bring about hope and healing through your grief journey.
