GILBERT, Ariz. – First year forward Rachel Lansbury has been recognized as a Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholar of Distinction, the organization announced today.
This year, 268 student-athletes have been recognized as Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction. The Division III Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.

Lansbury, a native of Annandale, Virginia, played in 14 games in the 2018 season and recorded three points off of one goal and one assist. She is a psychology major with a minor in english.
This follows last week’s announcement when they St. Mary’s College of Maryland field hockey team had 15 players named to the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, and an earlier announcement that the team earned the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Academic Team Award for earning a team grade-point average over 3.0 during the fall semester of the 2018-19 school year.
