Public Hearing Scheduled to Receive Comments

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – March 29, 2019 –The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will hold a public hearing Tuesday, April 2, 2019, to consider and receive comments regarding Calvert County Government’s plan to issue bonds of up to $23,250,000 . The bonds are general obligation bonds and are backed by the full faith and credit of the county.

The purpose of the bond sale is to help finance projects including construction of Northern High School, the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, design of the county government administration building and improvements to Ward Farm Recreation and Nature Park.

The hearing will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Commissioners’ Hearing Room in the Calvert County Circuit Courthouse, located at 175 Main St. in Prince Frederick. Citizens are encouraged to view the resolutiononline.
