Prince Frederick, MD – Calvert Hospice is pleased to provide educational seminars to our community. Attendees will learn about topics that impact end-of-life care for patients and their families. Sessions are designed to encourage group discussion. Calvert Hospice will provide refreshments. The seminars are free.

The location for this educational seminar will be SpringHill Suites (75 Sherry Lane) in Prince Frederick.

Hospice, Palliative Care, & Bereavement, Oh My!

Presenters: Amy Szatanek, LCSW, ACHP-SW, Director of Patient & Family Services for Calvert Hospice and Kara Rawlings, RN, BSN, CM/DN, CHPN, Director of Clinical Operations for Calvert Hospice
Ms. Rawlings and Ms. Szatanek will discuss the similarities and differences between hospice and palliative care. They will offer guidance for choosing the right program for you or your family member. General information on bereavement services available to community members and hospice families will also be shared along with suggestions for how to help someone who is grieving.
