PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – April 4, 2019 – The Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation is relocating its annual Easter Festival to Northeast Community Center following a fire in Chesapeake Beach adjacent to Kellam’s Field, the original site of the event.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Northeast Community Center, located at 4075 Gordon Stinnett Ave. in Chesapeake Beach. It will feature music, inflatables, balloon animals, face painting, super hero appearances and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny. Activities include an egg hunt for ages 8 to 11 at 1:15 p.m., ages 5 to 7 at 1:45 p.m. and ages 2 to 4 at 2:15 p.m.
Co-presenting the event are the Town of Chesapeake Beach and the Chesapeake Beach Water Park. In recognition of those affected by the fire, those attending may bring non-perishable food items and personal items as donations.
