Callaway, MD- On Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 5:17 p.m., St. Mary’s County Emergency 9-1-1 was alerted to a structure fire on Piney Point Road.
The Valley Lee Volunteer Fire Department arrived with six personnel to discover a Wildwood Camper engulfed in flames. The units had the fire under control in approximately ten minutes.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the blaze. The fire was discovered by a neighbor and is believed to have originated from the interior. The loss of structure is estimated to be $10,000.00. The report also states that the preliminary cause is “under investigation”. There were no reported injuries with this incident.
