Volunteer Opportunities for Senior Citizens

The State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) offers local, personalized counseling and assistance to individuals with Medicare and their caregivers. SHIP can help you with your Medicare questions, including your eligibility, enrollment, benefits, premiums, deductibles, and coinsurance. SHIP is also in search of senior citizens wishing to make a difference through volunteering. Help other senior citizens and their families through Medicare counseling, or office support, or by speaking to groups about Medicare. This a chance to give back to your community and an opportunity to develop new skills or build on experience and knowledge you already have.
