FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – St. Mary’s College of Maryland senior midfielder Caitlin Katchmar was named the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced today. This is Katchmar’s first player of the week honor this season.
Katchmar led the Seahawks on the offensive end with 16 points. Katchmar recorded 10 goals and six assists on the week, including a career-best eight goals against Christopher Newport on Apr. 17. In addition, Katchmar collected two draw controls on the week.
Katchmar, a native of Phoenix, Maryland, currently leads the Seahawks in points with 69 and assists with 26. Her mark in points comes in at third in the conference and her total in assists is good for seventh in the CAC. In addition, Katchmar has netted 43 goals, good for the fifth best mark in the league.

The Seahawks will be back in action on Wednesday (Apr. 24) when they travel to Salisbury to take on the Sea Gulls at 4 p.m.
