From Principal Rick Weber:

Mr. Brooks has worked at Huntingtown High School since it opened in 2004. He took over the position of head Building Service Worker four years ago. Mr. Brooks is a Hurricane through and through.

He handles his job responsibilities in a professional and efficient manor, supervising an excellent staff who have keep the building looking like it is brand new. In addition to his fine work maintaining the building and grounds, he works as an assistant boys’ basketball coach and a co-sponsor of the BROs, an organization for African American males at Huntingtown High School.

His involvement outside of his regular duties has enabled him to build strong relationships with staff, students, and community members. His dedication to the school and all the school’s stakeholders is commendable and helps promote a positive school environment.

Mr. Brooks’ efforts beyond the call of duty make Huntingtown High a better place to be, and that is why he has been selected as the Huntingtown High School Support Person of the Year.
