A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the Washington and Baltimore
Metropolitan areas starting at 8 PM. Showers and scattered
thunderstorms, some with heavy rainfall are expected. Heavy rain
in short periods of time may cause creeks and streams to rapidly
rise out of their banks as well as the potential for flash
flooding in urban areas. Elsewhere, localized flooding is
possible.

There is an isolated threat for locally damaging wind gusts or
large hail in thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening.
