Waldorf, MD- At approx. 12:17 am. an emergency call went out in Waldorf for a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on US 301 South(Crain Highway) near the Roy Rodgers.

Moments later another call was received for a secondary crash at the same location, but on the Northbound side.

Charles County Sheriff’s Officials notified residents via Citizens Notification System(CNS) that US Route 301 was closed down to one direction at 12:33 a.m. The road was reopened at 4:45 am.

Information gathered from the scene suggest the victim was trapped under the vehicle and subsequently died from their injuries.

An official statement from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office has not been released as of 5:45 am. We will post more details when they become avaible.
