From Principal Steve Williams:

Owings, MD- Joshua Gresko is a dedicated music educator who pours his heart and soul into teaching children how to properly read, sing, and play music. Mr. Gresko is an experienced musician who mastered the guitar and drums. Mr. Gresko embodies our motto of “We are Northern” because he treats every student with the utmost care and respect and gets tremendous results from each choir, which typically includes achieving superior ratings at Festival.

His musical expertise includes conducting the chamber and choral choirs, as well as acting as the voice coach for each of our drama productions. Last year we were in dire need of an audio visual professional to manage the Mary Harrison Center’s audio/visual set up, and Mr. Gresko not only volunteered to perform the job, but with short notice, he makes himself available to any group in need of assistance in the MHC.

Anytime you visit Josh’s classroom, he greets you with a smile, then continues the structured practice of molding young singers and musicians into solid performers. It would seem that Mr. Gresko has never encountered a bad day because his everyday demeanor and outlook begins and ends with a smile and a kind word.

Mr. Gresko is very deserving of this honor because he exhibits what it means to be an expert clinician while loving the students in his program.
