News Release, Southern Maryland Association of Realtors

(Hughesville, MD) – SMAR’s YPN (Young Professionals Network) organized a Realtor® Volunteer Day on April 27, 2019, for Christmas in April. Christmas in April is a local organization that helps those in need with needed house repairs. This year in St. Mary’s County, some projects included building a ramp on the front of the house, removing and reinstalling the sliding glass door on the back of the house, replaced the door handle and lock on the front door and various clean up and yard work to make the home as good as new!

“On behalf of the YPN Committee, we want to thank the volunteers that came out to help us with this effort,”says Chair Lindsay Clark. She continues,“It gives us great satisfaction to help a local homeowner in need. This is a wonderful organization and we are proud to support it.”
