BOWIE, Md. — Jason Krizan hit two home runs and drove in five runs to lead the Binghamton Rumble Ponies to a 7-3 victory and a series win against the Bowie Baysox in front of 2,075 at Prince George’s Stadium Tuesday night.

Binghamton (25-15) scored seven unanswered runs to take a 7-0 lead entering the bottom of the fifth inning, where the Baysox scored their first two runs to cut the deficit to five runs. After a Ryan McKenna infield single, Rylan Bannon recorded his team-leading 18th RBI of the season by plating Mason McCoy on a groundout to first base.

Bowie (16-28) tacked on another run in the eighth inning. After a pair of singles led off the frame, Martin Cervenka sent a one-out sacrifice fly to deep center field to allow Zach Jarrett to score and close the gap to 7-3.

After RHPDean Kremerwent four innings in his first Double-A start of the season, the Bowie bullpen held the Rumble Ponies to two runs over the final five innings. LHPBrian Gonzalezretired the final seven batters he faced, while RHPTaylor Groverstruck out a pair of batters and got a key double play with the bases loaded to record two scoreless frames.
