Family activities, carousel rides, Guide-by-Cell art walk, and more taking place in the Waterfront District at National Harbor

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md., May 22, 2019— National Harbor’s commitment to our armed forces will be celebrated on Memorial Day weekend, May 24 through May 27, with a variety of activities at the Waterfront District for military personnel, their families and supporters.

Kick-off the holiday weekend on Friday, May 24 with the Salute the Sunset Concert Series featuring Perishing’s Own at 7 p.m. on the Plaza stage. Saturday, May 25 and Monday, May 27 will feature Airmen of Note.  These outstanding performances by bands from the nation’s Armed Forces, will stir the hearts and souls of civilians and military personnel alike.

Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27, military (active duty and veterans) and up to four family members will enjoy free admission to The Capital Wheel. Simply present a government issued ID at the ticket window.

Also throughout the weekend, Flight Deck is offering Buy a Beer for a Solider. When ordering, guests will be invited to “pour it forward” by purchasing a beer for a soldier. Notecards will be on hand so guests can write a thank you note if desired.
