St. Leonard, Md- at 10:18 pm on Monday, May 27, 2019, The St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department responded with fifty firefighters to a 1 1/2 story single family home on fire.

The firefighters had the blaze out in roughly 40 minutes. The Office of the State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate. After the preliminary investigation was done, the Fire Marshal lists the cause as an incendiary device placed near the foyer/front door. The Fire Marshal lists the loss at $125,000.00 with no injures or deaths. It is unclear at this time if the owner was residing in the residence or if anyone was displaced.
