PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – June 3, 2019 – The Calvert County Department of Community Resources, Office on Aging, will hold a week-long Intergenerational Summer Camp for grandparents and their elementary school-aged grandchildren, ages 5-11. The day camp will be held at Calvert Pines Senior Center, 450 W. Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick, July 8-12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Planned activities include arts and crafts, games, a magic show, a K-9 demonstration by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, a presentation by the Calvert County Animal Control Division, a reading of “Oscar & Olive Osprey” with author Janie Suss, Battle Creek Cypress Swamp staff and their reptilian friends, an ice cream sundae party and more.
The cost to attend is $50 per grandparent-grandchild pair and $25 for each additional grandparent or grandchild. Registration includes all materials and ice cream sundae party. Please register by June 21; space is limited.
