Indian Head, MD- Just after noon on Wednesday, June 12, the Charles County 9-1-1 center received a call for a boater in distress. The caller said a woman was hanging on her kayak and screaming for help.

Charles County Volunteers responded to Slaven’s Dock on Mattingly Avenue in Indian Head.The kayaker was brought on board Boat #20 and brought ashore. She was checked out medically and refused transport tp an area hospital.
