Prince Frederick, MD– The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office would like to recognize Deputy Bruce Sampson on receiving the honor of Deputy of the 2nd Quarter.

Deputy Sampson joined the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office on February 28, 2017, after graduating from the Southern Maryland Criminal Justice academy. Sampson graduated with thirteen other officers at that session. He was officially welcomed to the force on the 14th Anniversary of Sheriff Mike Evans tenure.

Some of the cases Deputy Sampson has covered during his time with the Calvert Sheriff’s Office include:

  • The arrest of Kirsten Diana Williams, 25, who was charged with confining an unattended child, neglect of a minor and desertion of a child. Deputy Bruce Sampson of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 100 block of Bay Avenue in Prince Frederick Nov. 10 to check the welfare of a child who was reportedly left unattended. He was flagged down by Anthony Migliaccio, who said he came home from work early to find the 6-year-old child wandering the street with no clothes on except his underwear. According to the police report, it was 40 degrees outside at this time.
  • The arrest of Sharon Kennedy at the Prince Frederick Library after being found with heroin and amphetamine.
  • Responded to a burglary in Port Republic in which t was discovered the suspect knew where the spare key was located.
