UPDATE 6:38 p.m.- The MdTA reports that the scene is cleared. Expect residual delays as traffic is still backed up.
UPDATE 5:37 p.m.- The MDTA is reporting that traffic is alternating lanes at this time while emergency crews tend to the victims and crash debris.
Newburg, Md 5:15 p.m.: The Maryland State Police-La Plata Barracks are reporting a motor vehicle collision on the Harry Nice/Middleton Bridge. The Crash occurred on the Northbound side entering Maryland.
The Maryland Transportation Authority(MdTA) has responded and traffic is stopped on both sides.
Watch for emergency vehicles and expect severe delays.
