UPDATE 2:40 p.m.- Individuals stuck in the back-up are posting on the Country Lakes Facebook page that traffic is moving again. Expect delays as it’s a tight road.

Mechanicsville, MD- The Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department is currently operating on the scene of a motor vehicle crash. The crash is reported at Mechanicsville Road and Church Lane. This is at the entrance to Mechancsivlle Road coming off oof Old Village Road.

Units are reporting that there are 7-9 victims with injuries, mainly relating to the back. One person is complaining of chest pains.

Watch for emergency vehicles and personnel as they tend to the patients and clear the scene, expect delays.
