On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at noon, Mission BBQ in Waldorf held a 9/11 Ceremony honoring all those persons from the September 11, 2001 event now 18 years ago.

Waldorf Volunteers provided the “ladder arch” for the ceremony and were on hand in large numbers. The managers and staff from Mission BBQ offered a few words surrounding the 9/11 event and thanked all fire, EMS, law enforcement and military across the country for their service.

CCSO Deputy Ashley King sung our “National Anthem” very beautifully; Paula Alston from Mission BBQ was instrumental in organizing this unforgettable event and we all thank her for the unselfish commitment to our public safety community. ( All images courtesy of Bill Smith)

We offer our thanks to the Volunteers from Waldorf who participated in this event.
