WINCHESTER, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s cross country team continued its season as they competed at the Hornet Harrier Invite hosted by Shenandoah University Saturday morning (Sept. 28). 

 The Basics

  • Place – 11th of 17/280 points
  • Location – Shenandoah University – Winchester, Va.

 St. Mary’s Top 5 Finishers

  • After missing the last meet, Kara Taylor came back to run a 20:28.6 which was good enough for 11th out of 143 total runners. 
  • Marie Lewis was the next Seahawk to finish as she ran a 23:05.7 for 69th overall place. 
  • Not far behind Lewis was Grace Dillingham in 76th overall with a time of 23:19.3. 
  • Isobel Hermans ran a 24:47.6 and Amy Forsbacka came in at 25:25.2 to round out St. Mary’s top five. 

 Other Race Highlights

  • Bridgewater College’s English Jackson was the first runner to cross the finish line as she ran a 19:07.1. 
  • Salisbury finished first overall as a team with a score of 54 points.
