ST. MARY’S’ CITY, Md. – St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer member Khalid Balogun has been selected as the September Student-Athlete of the Month, the department announced today.

The Department of Athletics & Recreation executive team selects the Student-Athlete of the Month awardee each month.

The senior from Bowie, Maryland led the Seahawks with 12 goals, three assists, 27 points, and two game-winning goals in the month. His season total in goals and points leads the Capital Athletic Conference. Additionally,Balogun’stotal in goals is second in the nation and his total in points is sixth in the country.Balogunwas named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week three times in the month.

The Seahawks men’s soccer team improved to 7-2-1 with a 2-1 victory over York last night (Oct. 2). St. Mary’s College will be back in action when they host Salisbury on Saturday (Oct. 5) at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium. Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
