BUENA VISTA, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s soccer team (11-5-2, 5-4-1 CAC) traveled to Southern Virginia University to take on the Knights (2-17, 0-10 CAC) on Wednesday (Oct. 30) night in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Seahawks cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Knights in their final regular-season game of the year. St. Mary’s College locked up the third seed in the CAC Tournament and will host Southern Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 4:30 p.m.

How It Happened
- The Seahawks scored early and often in today’s contest against the Knights. Anoi Hindle tallied the first Seahawk goal in the 6th minute to put St. Mary’s College ahead early. Next, Josh McRobie fired a shot into the back of the net in the 12th minute to extend the Seahawk lead. St. Mary’s College continued to pile it on in the first half when Khalid Balogun tallied an unassisted goal in the 43rd minute.
- Southern Virginia managed to outshoot the Seahawks 10-8 in the second half, but failed to convert on their shots. St. Mary’s College tacked on their final goal of the contest on a Southern Virginia own goal in the 67th minute.
Inside the Box Score
- The Seahawks finished the night with three different goal scorers as Hindle, Balogun, and McRobie all found the back of the net. Balogun extended his season total to 36 points and 16 goals with tonight’s score. In addition, McRobie now has 26 points and 10 goals.
