CHESTERFIELD, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s swimming team (1-5) sits in sixth place after the first day of competition at the Randolph-Macon Invitational.

How It Happened
- The quartet of Brenna Litynski, Christina Trnkus, Leila McCloskey, and Carolyn Sutton earned a fourth-place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay to begin the meet with a time of 1:40.98.
- Litynski captured a runner-up finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 24.47. Litynski followed her performance with another impressive showing in the 200 Yard Freestyle, finishing second with a time of 1:58.80.
- The team of Sutton, Bailey Edgren, Trnkus, and Litynski recorded a top-five finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, finishing fifth with a time of 1:53.41.
