LEXINGTON, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s swimming team (1-7) traveled to Washington & Lee University on Saturday (Jan. 4) to take on the Generals (5-1). The Seahawks fell to the Generals by a final score of 174-62.

- The Seahawks failed to win an event, but had notable finishes from Brenna Litynski (2nd – 50 Yard Freestyle), Carolyn Sutton (2nd – 100 Yard Freestyle), Leila McCloskey (3rd – 100 Yard Freestyle), Rileigh Krell (2nd – 200 Yard Backstroke, 2nd – 100 Yard Butterfly), Bailey Edgren (2nd – 200 Yard Breaststroke), Lexi Efron (3rd – 200 Yard Breaststroke), Elizabeth Johnson (2nd – 500 Yard Freestyle, 2nd – 200 Yard IM), and Becca Sonnenberg (3rd – 100 Yard Butterfly).
- The team of McCloskey, Sutton, Christina Trnkus, and Christina Bonass finished second in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
