FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the second week of the 2020 women’s lacrosse season. St. Mary’s College senior Kate Bartholomew earned CAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades for the first time this season.

Bartholomew led the Seahawks on the offensive end with 14 total points, netting 10 goals and four assists in two games. Batholomew also collected three ground balls and caused five turnovers. The senior attacker’s contributions led the Seahawks to a 17-4 victory over Randolph-Macon on Feb. 19 and a 16-5 win over McDaniel on Feb. 22. Bartholomew currently leads the CAC in points with 19, goals with 15, and shots with 35.

The Seahawk women’s lacrosse team is 3-0 on the young season and will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 26 when they host No. 10 Catholic in the ‘Play Like Jamie’ game. Opening draw is set for 5:30 p.m. at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium.
