NAS Patuxent Rvier- This afternoon the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division(NAWCAD) Commander Rear Admiral John Lemmon announced the closure of Gate 3, and the first positive test of COVID-19 on the base.
They are performing an internal investigation to determine the exposure levels. He also states they understood that this could happen. They are staggering start times and moving shifts to mitigate crowded work stations in their squadrons and range support locations. Cleaning crews are sanitizing stations in between work shifts.
