Annapolis, MD (May 5, 2020) – The Maryland State Board of Elections (the Board) today released a video outlining how to safely and securely vote by mail in Maryland’s June 2nd primary election.

The video includes: 

  • Instructions for properly completing a ballot
  • Guidance on how to properly return a completed ballot, including additional documentation some voters may need to include in the return envelope 
  • Instructions on how to check that your ballot has been received
  • Reminder that every eligible voter will automatically be mailed a ballot and no postage is required to return a ballot. 

Ballots began arriving at mailboxes in early May and will continue to arrive through mid-May. 

Anyone wishing to check their voter registration status can do so on the State Board of Elections website at  If you do not have internet access, call 1-800-222-8683 and ask a State Board of Elections representative to check your registration.
