President Donald Trump ordered the  United States Flag to be flown at half-staff effective immediately until sunset, Sunday, May 24, 2020.  

This is done as a mark of solemn respect for the victims of the coronavirus pandemic.  As a matter of protocol, the Maryland flag is lowered to half-staff. No flag may fly higher than the United States flag.
