FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) announced that 1,459 student-athletes were named to the 2019-20 All-Academic Team, an average of over 239 student-athletes per full-member institution.
Student-athletes in one or more CAC championship sports that attain a 3.20-grade point average (GPA) for the academic year earn a spot on the All-Academic team. A total of 64.3% of CAC student-athletes posted a 3.20 GPA this year (1,459 of 2,268).

St. Mary’s College of Maryland came in third with 65.7 % (176 of 268) of its student-athletes gaining All-Academic Team status. The Seahawk baseball team led the department with 28 selections, while the men’s lacrosse team drew a close second with 26 selections. In all, eight Seahawk teams had at least 10 student-athletes make the All-Academic Team, while 15 St. Mary’s College student-athletes wrapped up their collegiate careers as four-year members of the All-Academic Team.
