Golden Beach, MD- Around 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020, the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department(MFVD) responded to Golden Beach Road and Jarrell Drive for a motor vehicle crash with possible entrapment.

Upon arrival, the MFVD found a single truck overturned and at least one telephone pole taken down with wires on the vehicle and roadway. Two patients were discovered and were treated.

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative(SMECO, was called to the scene to repair the lines. Power was out according to responses on the MVFD Facebook post regarding the crash. As of 5:30 a.m. on July 27, 2020, SMECO is showing no outages in the area.
