Washington, D.C.- President Donald Trump has announced an executive order to extend economic relief after US lawmakers failed to reach an agreement on the next Coronavirus Economic Relief Package.
The order includes extending enhanced unemployment benefits, extending the federal eviction moratorium, imposing payroll tax holiday, and further suspending federal student loan payments.
The executive order comes a week after federal unemployment benefits and the federal moratorium on evictions ended.
This is a developing story and The Southern Maryland Chronicle will continue to follow it and bring updates when available.
