RICHMOND, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s swim team picked up their ninth College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Fall Scholar All-America Team award during sixth-year head coach Casey Brandt‘s tenure. The complete list of CSCAA Scholar All-America Team award winners were announced Monday evening.
St. Mary’s College was one of 728 teams from 450 colleges and universities to earn the honor after posting a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.26 during the Fall 2021 semester. The Seahawks were one of four Atlantic East Conference women’s swim programs to be recognized as Cabrini University (3.42), Cedar Crest College (3.47), and Marymount (Va.) University (3.33) all made the list.
Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director, highlighted St. Mary’s College’s achievements noting, “Coach Brandt has done a tremendous job. These 13 women are some of the best ambassadors that St. Mary’s College and the Atlantic East Conference could ask for.”
The CSCAA recognizes Scholar All-America Teams for both the fall and winter semesters. In order to be recognized, teams must have achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher.
