The Board of County Commissioners held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new SMECO Electric Vehicle (EV) Recharge stations in Calvert County. In attendance for the reception were Commissioners Earl “Buddy” Hance, Christopher Gadway, and Kelly McConkey.
The Prince Frederick SMECO EV recharge station is one of four units installed in Calvert County at the Calvert Library Fairview Branch, Courthouse Annex, Southern Community Center, and Calvert Marine Museum.
SMECO is currently in the process of installing units at the College of Southern Maryland, Prince Frederick Campus, and the Calvert Board of Education on Dares Beach Road.
