UPDATE 2/8/2022- The Clements Convenience Center has returned to full-service operations and is once again able to accept single-stream recyclable items such as metals, cardboard, paper, and plastics.

The Clements Convenience centers is open Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

UPDATE 1:00 p.m: Due to an equipment failure, the Clements Convenience Center cannot accept single-stream recycling of items such as metals, cardboard, paper, and plastics until further notice. However, other recycling services, such as used oil, electronics, and oyster shells, can still be accepted, and regular solid waste services continue to be available.

Please take single-stream recyclables to any of the other five convenience centers located in St. Mary’s County:

  • Oakville – 26630 North Sandgates Road
  • St. Andrews – 44595 St. Andrews Church Road
  • Valley Lee – 45350 Happyland Road
  • Ridge – 13939 Point Lookout Road

LEONARDTOWN, MD(1/7/2022 @ 5 am) – Following a closure for equipment replacement and repair, the Clements Convenience Center has reopened with most services and operations. The single-stream recycling equipment is still not working but a temporary container has been provided to collect recycled items such as metals, cardboard, paper, and plastics.

The convenience center is located at 24547 Horseshoe Road in Clements and is open Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
