A worker at the auto repair shop located in the unit block of Industrial Park Drive in Waldorf called Charles County 911 Center just before 11:00 P.M. to report an auto on fire inside the building. 911 dispatched a “structure fire assignment” bringing 53 Fire/EMS personnel to the scene.
E32 arrived moments later, reporting “auto well off” inside the structure, fire knocked down, checking for possible extension throughout the building. Chief 12A (Nadeau) arrived, established “command” operating with E32, B12, and Truck #1, the remainder of the responding units stage.
Once determined no extension, command held E32, T1, SQ2, and A39 to complete ventilation/overhaul. Power was secured at the panel, no injuries were reported, it is believed a malfunctioning auto was the cause of this fire.
