LATHAM, N.Y. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s lacrosse team swept the United East Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week awards for the second time this season as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Senior Jude Brown (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) was named the United East Offensive Player of the Week while sophomore Ethan Little (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) was selected as the United East Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 6.

The Seahawks remain undefeated after rallying to knock off Marymount (Va.) University, 18-13, on March 2, and dominating Shenandoah University, 20-4, on March 5.

Brown tallied 11 goals and seven assists over the two wins. He started the week with a career-best 10 points on a career-high six goals and season-best four assists plus causing a career-high three turnovers and scooping up three ground balls at Marymount. The 5-9 attackman then added five goals and three assists, along with two ground balls and one caused turnover, in the win over Shenandoah.

Brown currently leads the United East with 4.75 goals per game (11th in Division III) and 7.00 points per game (9th in Division III) while ranking second with 2.25 assists per game.

Little collected nine ground balls and four caused turnovers while contributing three goals and an assist in two games. The 5-11 defenseman scooped up a career-high six ground balls and notched a career-best three-caused turnover plus recorded his first career hat trick at Marymount. He finished the week with three ground balls, one caused turnover, and one assist against Shenandoah.

Little is currently tied for seventh in the league with 4.20 ground balls per game.

St. Mary’s College (5-0) will be back in action on Saturday, March 12, when the Seahawks travel to Lynchburg, Va., to take No. 6 Lynchburg College at 1:00 p.m. in non-conference action
